Vicki Gilbert began working on the Eastern United States Dancesport Championships in 2010. She began ballroom dancing in September of 2006 with the Tufts University Ballroom Dance Team, where she was an avid collegiate competitor and served two years as captain.

In 2010 she began dancing open amateur and has won national competitions in the American smooth style including the following placements:

   - Open Amateur Smooth Finalist at the 2010 and 2011 Ohio Star Ball
   - 2nd in Adult Championship Smooth at the 2011 Mid-Atlantic USA Dance          Championships
   - 3rd in Adult Championship Smooth at the 2012 Manhattan Amateur          Classic
   - 1st in Open Smooth at the 2011 and 2012 MIT Open Ballroom          Competition
   - 1st in Pre-Championship Adult Smooth at the 2011 USA Dance National          Dancesport Championships
   - 4th in Championship Smooth at the 2011 USA Dance National          Dancesport Championships
   - 5th in Championship Smooth at the 2012 USA Dance National          Dancesport Championships

In addition to working on the Eastern US Dancesport Championships she also spent two years as the office manager for Studio 665, one of the Boston area's premier ballroom dance studios. She has also served as the assistant to the organizer for the Massachusetts Dancesport Championships since its inception in 2010.

Vicki graduated magna cum laude in February of 2010 from Tufts University with a degree in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies. She expects to complete her Master's degree in comparative politics at Northeastern University in May 2013.
