Some of their impressive accomplishments include: North American Champions, United States Vice-Champions and semi-finalists at the World Professional 10-Dance Championships in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
Retired now from professional competition, the Noceras are also members of the North American Dance Teachers Association and the World Dance and Dance Sport Council. Importantly, both Mark and Dawna Nocera have attained the National Dance Council of America's classification as World Class Adjudicators.
Since 1984, the Noceras have owned and operated Studio 665 in Woburn, Massachusetts where they coach top amateur competitors in both International and American styles of Ballroom Dancing. The Noceras have trained Pro-Am students, as well as amateur competitors, who have placed among the top three in the U.S. National Championships. They are also proud to be the head coaches of the Tufts University Ballroom Dance Team, which ranks among the best collegiate dance teams in New England.
It has been a lifelong dream of Mark and Dawna to become organizers of a Dancesport Competition. They sincerely offer all competitors, amateur and professional alike, a highly organized, amazing dance competition experience. Mark and Dawna will ensure that “The Eastern” will provide an elegant atmosphere that inspires as well as offers generous prizes to the dance talent in a setting that conveniently provides for all competitors’ needs. |
