He served as CFO and CEO of CMGI from July 2001 to August 2004. Prior to CMGI, Mr. McMillan served as President and CEO for more than 4 years of BMG Direct, a unit of Bertelsmann AG. Mr. McMillan also served as COO and CFO of Renaissance Solutions, the technology and management consulting firm.
Mr. McMillan has served in executive capacities for more than 20 years and has spent the majority of his career leading and driving business growth in professional service firms. He has earned his MBA with distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Business, his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and his AB in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Stanford University.
His wife, Donna, and he began ballroom dancing while dating in the mid-1980s. Donna McMillan continued to take dance and compete with Studio 665 in the 1990s. Mr and Mrs. McMillan have remained connected with the music and arts community, and enthusiastically support the Eastern United States Dancesport Championships in Boston in 2008.
